Yeah, I know. It's been a while. If it's not one thing, it's another. I got sick after my last run. I'm sure it was a combination of seasonal allergies and changes in the weather. It's hot, it's cold, it's hot again. The weather can't make up it's mind. Then it was cold and rainy. I wasn't going out in that. I could have gone to the Y, but honestly, that hasn't even crossed my mind. I'm not feeling my work schedule at all. I get home pretty late, cook (sometimes) and end up on the phone all hours of the night (and early morning). Yep, long distance relationships keep you up later than you would like. Then I set my alarm to the latest time possible so I can catch up on my sleep. So yeah, running, yoga, or any other exercise doesn't come to mind. Half the time cooking doesn't come to mind. I really need to invest in a 30 min meal vegan cookbook or something. Does that even exist? Well, enough of the rambling. I finally ran today. Only 2 mi but it was something. My heart rate was through the roof. I guess that's what happens when you haven't run in 3 weeks. I've been telling myself that I should torture myself on the elliptical when I'm not running. But I just haven't been motivated to do so. Who knows if or when the work schedule will change? So I guess I should start with going to bed at a decent time. Maybe tonight. We'll see. Seis de Mayo
I set out for 6mi but I did only 4mi. It doesn't matter. I'm not following the schedule anyway. I'm just trying to get out there. I made sure I had lots of tofu last night at Silk City. But the drinks that came afterwards didn't help too much. Yes, I spent the night dancing. Last night, I danced off whatever I didn't run off today. King Britt spins every Monday and they have a live band. The music was alright so I danced all night. Oh, and the best part was that someone asked me if I was a dancer. Then I was asked if I studied modern dance. Nope, I just like to dance. I really need to dance more. It makes me happy and it's great exercise. So on to today's run. It was okay. I was going to 6mi, but then I figured it wouldn't be wise. I'd just go for 4. I went two weeks without running. I can't just jump into 6mi. Then I was pretty sure that last night's activities dehydrated me. Then I just wasn't into it. And then I felt a lil something going on with my knee/fibula thingy going into mile 4. Luckily I decided to stop at 4. My fibula wasn't too affected. I stopped before anything major could happen. It's all good. I'm just glad that I can run. There was a time that I couldn't even run a mile no matter how hard I tried. Now when I try, I bang out 4. Go me!! Music: Silhouette Brown This is really smooth. Too smooth for running, but I was in that kind of mood today. I would love to see this band live. They have ridiculous harmony. I'm all about harmony. Activity

Coffee, Cookies and a Run
Today was a beautiful day. I figured I'd get out to enjoy and run at the same time. It's been about two weeks since I ran. Honestly, I've been either too tired, too lazy or too hormonal to run. Exerting any type of energy was asking a bit too much. So I was planning to run more than two miles, but I had to rethink that. Breakfast consisted of coffee (to get rid of a headache) and sugar cookies (just because). That's not the best energy for a run. And I didn't want to be found laid out in the grass somewhere, especially since I hate being in grass. It was a good day and a good run. And my fibula/knee thingy was okay. Hopefully I'll be motivated to get up a bit earlier to run this week. I'm not too sure about staying on schedule. My concern is just getting out there. I've been slacking and I really need to get on the ball. I'm just glad that I haven't outgrown the new smaller clothes I've bought recently. I haven't weighed myself in forever, but my pants still fit. So I guess I'm not as bad off as I thought. Now I really should make a smoothie or something to offset today's breakfast.
