Nice and Easy AND Muggy

I attempted a 4mi run today. I was hoping that I wouldn't get halfway into it and want to stop. And it's not like my muscles ever hurt or anything. I'd just rather walk and not work up so much of a sweat. You know, take it easy. In any case, I kept telling myself to go slow. I felt like I was going slower than my actual pace. I guess I did a pretty decent job considering the humidity. I like having moisturized skin but 96% humidity is just ridiculous. It's supposed to get up to 93*. That won't feel nice with this humidity. I'm just glad I got the run out of the way.

So I'm getting to the point where I actually want to run again. I don't have any plans to race this year. Maybe I'll never race. But for right now, my goal is to be how I was before. I want to go back to when 4mi was a short run. And I actually enjoyed 8mi runs. Anyway, that's my goal. Hopefully I'll get there again.

Music: Afro Strut by Amp Fiddler

I really enjoyed this album. This is soulful and funky, and definitely not the typical R&B crap on the radio.

Yeah, it was super hot & humid yesterday (Sat), but WTG getting out there despite that. At that rate, you'll be back where you were, I'm sure of it.

PS--I signed up with Bimactive, thanks for the tip!

You're making some great progress with all your hard work! I only started running 3 years ago, so I know it's possible to do things that you might not have imagined were possible. Keep it up!

We're like in the same mindset! I would like my 4 mile runs to go back to being short runs, but lately have just been keeping them my 'long' runs. This humidity is a pain!

Good on you for the 4 miles. I remember when four was my longest run. The weather isn't getting any cooler or less humid for the next 2 or 3 months. Do take it easy in the heat for the next two weeks until your body acclimitizes.

You say you like to dance until you sweat but didn't want to work up a sweat while running. Makes me say, "Huh?"

Greg, I love music and dancing way more than running. Dancing comes to me naturally. Running, not so much.
