So I listened to my body and took some time off. It's good that I did. My period came a couple days later. Well, that definitely explained a good portion of last week's crappiness. And the fried, greasy food cravings didn't help either. But I'm over that part now. I got home in time to see the rest of the U.S. Open Men's Final. I didn't run until after that was done. It was pretty dark, so I went to the track. It's been a while since I've run there. But it's pretty cool because I can count on a lot of people being out there. It's harder to get snatched up that way. Anyway, the track (and treadmill) does not agree with me. For some odd reason, it bothers the fibula knee area when I run on it. Maybe I'm crazy but asphalt does a body good. Is it possible for the track and treadmill to be harder on me? Who knows? So I'm good and tired now and I have 3mi on schedule for tomorrow. Hopefully I won't still be tired when it's time to hit the road again. Oh, and I got a good look at my schedule this week. I have 9mi on Saturday. I think that's going to freak me out. I haven't gone over 8mi yet. Let's hope I'm ready for it. Well, I'm off. Night all. Music: I listened to a playlist that the other half put together for me. I'm not going to list the tracks. But the song Paper Chase by Clara Hill stood out to me. Check it out. Love it, love it, love it. Activity

I've never heard of the track or treadmill being harder on a runner. If the asphalt makes you stronger, go for it.
9 miles! Wow. Rock it, girl. If you can do 8, you can do 9, for sure. And you're so smart to rest when you feel like you need it :-)
Don't worry, you're ready for a niner!
You're ready for nine miles! Get excited. Definitely take care of that knee-- I've known other people who find the treadmill harder on their legs, and I can't stand turning so frequently on the track.
Oy, PMS is always hard on me especially when it comes to running. I feel ya!
