It's All Good

So I'm not allergic to bee stings. For the most part, it burned that day. Then the next day, the area just felt a little sore. And today, it just itched a bit. Hopefully, I won't have any run ins with any creepy crawlies on this weekend's long run. I'm due for 10mi. Yeah, I so don't see that happening. So maybe I'll just shoot for 9mi since I never got a chance to complete it. Who knows. I guess it depends on how I'm feeling and how I'm eating. Yeah, I've been lazy and have not been cooking. What I have eaten hasn't been too bad. But I haven't been eating breakfast. That's not good at all. I'm sure that has a lot to do with my energy level these days. And my meal plan or lack thereof doesn't make running any easier.

With that being said, I'm very surprised that tonight's run was actually pretty decent. It's been a while since I've had a decent run. Or at least it feels that way. Since it's getting dark sooner, I went to the track. And track running is always more difficult for me. I really don't know why. It doesn't make sense. But whatever. Good thing is that my right knee/fibula thingy didn't bother me like it did last time on the track. My splits aren't as perfect as I'd like them to be, but I'm happy with the overall time and how I felt during the run. So it's all good.

Well, I'm done rambling. Night all.

Hey Christie -- I'm glad you didn't have a bad reaction to the bee sting! And good for you for continuing to run. Look at all you're learning about your body and its limits - very cool. Keep up the good work!

The track is always hard for me as well. I think it's just the whole mental part of it. Seeing the same things over and over and over again LOL

Get rid of that attitude about your 10 miler. Shoot for 11 miles and forget about the 9 miler. Running is so much mental on those long runs.

Nice run! I agree with Ken. You can do 9, 10, or whatever you want. Just running will feel wonderful compared with getting attacked by a bee.

Great job on the 5 miler!

I haven't run on the track in some time. I know I should, but gosh I can't seem to get it going out there.

Great blog by the way.
