Not Meant to Bee

I set out for 9mi but only finished 5mi. Why? Because I was stung by a bee about 4.5mi in. Well, I'm assuming it was a bee. When I stopped to inspect the area, there was a bee nearby. Anyway, I was stung where my ankle meets my foot. This area is also covered by the tongue of my sneaker. So I have no clue how anything got down there. I just know all the sudden that small area was on fire. All I wanted was to put some ice on it to alleviate the burning. With that going on, I cut it short. I've never been stung by anything and I didn't know how my body would react to it. But so far so good. The only thing I've noticed was that my limbs feel heavy and I just feel weird. Not quite light headed but more like I took something. But no, my throat isn't closing up on me and I'm not all swollen. Right now, I'm just tired. So I'm going to rest. But yeah, 9mi just was not in the cards today. Maybe another time.

Goodness! Take an antihistimine. It will help. That or an NSAID, like Advil, and that will help with the swelling.

Ouch, that's not good, sounds like a sensible choice to stop if you've never been stung before

That can be scary if you don't know whether you're going to have an allergic reaction. Glad everything sounds fine-- from what I've seen it hits right away.
